The Escambia County Clerk of Court and Comptroller is seeking a motivated Office Assistant III to join our team. As an Office Assistant III, you will be the friendly face and first point of contact for citizens, attorneys, and visitors — helping them navigate court services with professionalism and care while supporting essential office operations. What You'll Do Greet and assist citizens, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Answer phones and respond to inquiries with accuracy and efficiency. Process payments and perform cashiering functions with precision. Maintain records, files, and departmental documents. Enter data and ensure all information is accurate and complete. Assist with correspondence, forms, reports, and other administrative tasks. Support daily office operations while following established policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Possess the ability to understand procedures that incorporate Florida statutory language. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Excellent customer service skills and a consistently positive attitude. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Cashiering experience or the ability to accurately handle financial transactions. Close attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy. Professionalism when interacting with the public, coworkers, and stakeholders. Good working knowledge of office procedures and basic computer/office software skills. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an equivalency diploma; and One (1) year of related clerical, administrative, customer service, cashiering, or office support experience.
