The City of Oglesby is seeking an organized, professional, and highly motivated City Clerk to support the effective operation of city government. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong administrative and interpersonal skills, maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality, and work collaboratively with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Maintaining custody of official city records and public documents and serving as the City's FOIA Officer, notary public, and voter registration registrar. Providing administrative support to the mayor, commissioners, department heads and assisting staff with daily operations as needed. Managing payroll processing and employee records; administering benefits and ensuring timely filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Maintaining and reconciling financial records and bank accounts; preparing monthly financial statements, the annual treasurer's report, and assisting with the audit, tax levy, and budgeting processes. [Preference will be given to candidates with experience in these financial duties.] Preparing meeting agendas, materials, and minutes and attending city council and board/committee meetings; coordinating with the city attorney on ordinances and resolutions. Overseeing City Clerk's office operations and staff, including scheduling, task assignment, compliance monitoring, and annual performance evaluations. Responding to public and media inquiries; providing records and general information. Compensation and Benefits The City of Oglesby is offering a salary of between $65,000-85,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
