•$48,597 SUMMARY
•Enters papers for service and serves papers in the Justice Center, processes protective orders and serves protective orders in the Justice Center, prepares invoices for civil services, makes deposits, inputs payments, processes returns and processes the mail. Processes various types of writs from Clerks of Court and prepares papers for service of process necessary to seize movables, constructively seize immovables, garnish wages, and execute court orders; assists conduct foreclosure sales, and assists the public with questions regarding Sheriff's sales and service of process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following, but other duties may be assigned: Enters civil, criminal, juvenile, and other papers for service by the process servers; Processes protective orders; Serves papers and protective orders in the Justice Center; Processes returns and prepares invoices for civil services; Inputs payments from attorneys and various Clerks of Court, deposits money, applies money, and balances accounts; Mails past due invoices to vendors, attorneys and various Clerks of Court; Processes the mail, faxes and emails, which include, but is not limited to, cancelling sales, entering payments, and re-setting sales; Processes Writs of Seizure and Sale, Writs of Fieri Facias, Writs of Fieri Facias in Garnishment, Writs of Possession, Writs of Re-Possession, Writs of Attachment, and Writs of Sequestration from Clerk of Court and prepares papers for service of process; Re-issues papers for service when address is changed or corrected; Prepares curator papers; Sets Sheriff's sales, which includes, but is not limited to, preparing requests for appraisals, advertisements, and mortgage certificates or UCC certificates; Reviews mortgage certificates in preparation for Sheriff's sale; Reviews property appraisals and calculates minimum bid for Sheriff's sale; Reads at Sheriff's sales; Prepares various legal forms required to complete sale, including, but not limited to, deed, process verbal, and/or judicial bill of sale; Prepares receipts for third-party buyers at Sheriff's sales; Answers questions from the public and other agencies regarding the status of service and Sheriff's sales; Returns writs to clerk of court; Files deeds; Processes Requests for Notice of Seizure and Notices of Re-possession; Mails Notices of Seizure to certain parties; Schedules evictions; and Prepares purchase orders.

•This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
•Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memoranda. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be proficient in the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to count money.
REASONING ABILITY
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to resolve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
•Proof of residency of St. Tammany Parish (voter's registration card); Birth Certificate and Social Security Card.
