Job Description

This position is responsible for providing administrative assistant duties This is a 32-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible position. The duties and responsibilities listed are intended only as examples of the types of work performed by employees in this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive. The City reserves the right to revise or change job duties as organizational needs and job requirements change. Answer incoming telephone calls and provide information or route calls as required. Prepare daily deposits from departments for receipting as assigned. Responsible for monitoring office equipment maintenance and repair. Order office supplies and maintain inventory. Data entry as assigned. Assist with processing outgoing checks. Perform notary public duties. Responsible for the opening and closing of City Hall. Assist with the City's invoice payment process as assigned. Assist with electronic payment tracking and other items as appropriate. Assist with review, preparation, and proofreading of special projects, as needed. Assist with permitting and licensing as appropriate. Assist with meeting minute preparation. Assist with room reservations for City Hall. Assist with filing, mailing, copying, faxing, scanning, data entry, and other general office functions. Assume all duties of City Hall Office Assistant as necessary. Monitor the Utility Billing line as necessary. Other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or its equivalent. Two years of experience in an office setting. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
