Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are readily available. Prepare patients for dental procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety. Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Keep accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software, including medical history and treatment plans. Assist in endodontics and general dentistry procedures as needed. Ensure that the dental clinic is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the clinic. Experience Candidates should have prior experience in a dental assisting role or relevant training.
Key skills include:
Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology related to dental health. Familiarity with dental clinic operations and procedures. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred. Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Background in endodontics or general dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
