Job Description

NOTE:
This posting will close on AUGUST 26, 2026 or after a total of 25 applications are received, whichever occurs first. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant with the Department of Transportation, you will help customers complete important licensing services that keep our roads safe. You will guide people through identification checks, testing, and applications while providing clear and friendly support. This role gives you the chance to make every customer feel confident during an important step in their driving experience. Join a team that values accuracy, safety, and service to the public. This position supports the Driver License Center by assisting customers, verifying identification, and helping ensure safe and accurate licensing services. It plays an important role in promoting highway safety and preventing identity fraud. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
Customer Assistance:
Greet customers, verify identification, complete application forms, and provide required informational materials
Test Administration:
Administer knowledge tests and conduct vision screenings using standardized tools and procedures
Data Entry:
Enter applicant information, test results, and service transactions into on-line driver license systems
Service Guidance:
Respond to questions and explain requirements for services such as REAL ID, CDL, motorcycle licensing, and renewals
Document Processing:
Issue required forms, produce restoration letters, and ensure correct use of fee waiver codes
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety policies, report incidents, and maintain a clean and organized work area Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description .
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as needed

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public .
