Job Description

The Aronimink Golf Club Racquets Attendant will be responsible for the opening and closing the entire Racquets facility. They will also work closely with Office Manager and Director of Racquet Sports to ensure that all facilities remain clean and well-maintained. Racquets attendants will also be responsible for answering phones, interacting with members as well as handling pro shop sales. The communication between tennis attendants and the Director, Assistant Director and Office Manager, is critical to the efficient operation of the Racquets Department. The goal of the Racquets Attendant position is to assure that all members and guests are greeted to a warm welcome and a well-maintained safe facility.
Schedule:

The Racquets facility features 5 Har-Tru courts, 4 Tennis (2 Indoor) courts, 4 Platform Tennis courts, 4 dedicated Pickle Ball courts, and 3 new state-of-the-art Padel courts.
Racquets Attendant Functions:
The effective opening and closing of the entire Racquet Sport Facility including Tennis Center, outdoor courts, and indoor facility. The restocking of necessary materials such as bottled water, refrigerated drinks, tennis/paddle balls, locker room supplies, towels, and kitchen supplies Brushing and Cleaning outdoor tennis courts during the summer, and paddle courts and indoors during the winter. Clearing trash, loose balls, etc. around the common areas and entire facility Gathering trash and transporting to trash compactors During the fall use a hand blower to clean leaves off court surfaces, walkways, and decking. Spot check facility for neatness/cleanliness multiple times throughout shift The transport of dirty linens and towels to the main clubhouse The transport of food/beverages from the main clubhouse to tennis center for events Cleaning and straightening up of all areas of tennis center including kitchen, office area, pro shop, and great room Making sure that the alarm is set, and lights, and fireplaces are turned off and all doors locked on departure Ability to always deliver a high level of member and guest service
Essential Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma or Equivalent Possess basic knowledge of excellent service standards as well as etiquette. Possess good communication and guest relation skills Available to work weekends, evening shifts, and major holidays Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules Regular and predictable attendance. Arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance at all times Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance Must be able to multi-task several different actions at once. Able to drive a golf cart, license preferred Experience with a full-service country club operation preferred
