DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role helps support customer service and identity verification at PennDOT Driver License Centers by assisting with applications, testing, and information processing. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

Customer Greeting:

Welcome visitors, verify identification, and provide forms and information

Test Administration:

Give knowledge tests and vision screenings to applicants

Data Entry:

Enter applicant information and test results into on-line systems

Service Guidance:

Answer questions and explain licensing requirements including REAL ID rules

Document Processing:

Prepare letters, scan forms, and correctly apply fee waiver codes when needed

Worksite Support:

Maintain a clean workspace, follow customer service policy, and travel to other centers when required Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hour/week

Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary.

Telework:

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:

In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
