Full-time About the Hotel Courtyard Amarillo Downtown is a 107-room Marriott hotel in a restored 1927 landmark in the heart of downtown, steps from the Civic Center and Hodgetown. We combine historic character with the modern Courtyard experience, and we're looking for a hands-on leader to help run it. The Role As Assistant General Manager, you'll partner with the General Manager to lead daily operations across rooms, food and beverage, and sales support. You'll be the leader on property when the GM is away and will have real ownership over guest satisfaction, team development, and financial results. What You'll Do Oversee front desk, housekeeping, engineering, and The Bistro day to day Hire, train, schedule, and coach associates, building a culture of accountability and genuine hospitality Drive Marriott guest satisfaction (GSS/Medallia) scores and respond to reviews and guest concerns Uphold Marriott brand standards and prepare the hotel for quality audits Coordinate meetings and events in our conference space with the sales team Manage labor, inventory, and expenses to hit budget Maintain safety, cleanliness, and care of a historic building Serve as Manager on Duty, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays What We're Looking For 2+ years of hotel supervisory or management experience, Marriott experience strongly preferred Food and beverage experience is a plus Strong leadership and communication skills, and calm under pressure Comfort with budgets, P&Ls, and daily reporting Flexible availability What We Offer Competitive salary plus performance bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Marriott associate travel discounts A path to General Manager positions within the company

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
