General Public - G Additional Detail Job Duties The Wage Deputy Clerk assignment supports operations in a fast-paced, high-volume office. Responsibilities include executing court instructions and preparing legal documents accurately and in compliance with state and local policies. This is a wage position without benefits. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Duties include handling a wide range of complex clerical and financial tasks, including processing new civil filings, ringing up payments for filing fees, scanning all case documents, a large volume of accurate data entry, and alpha/numeric filing. Experienced with Microsoft applications, Windows 11, and Office 365 a plus. Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications The most competitive candidates will possess: High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful applicants will have considerable court, business, or office-related experience. Applicants should be highly organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software required. Excellent customer service skills and payment processing experience preferred. Experience working at a General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations in Virginia are a plus. Must be able to bend and lift to retrieve files.
