Rock County Human Services Department:

prosecutes child in need of protection and services (CHIPS) cases, prosecutes termination of parental rights (TPR) petitions for Rock County, ensures that judicial reviews on CHIPS cases are done on a timely basis, handles guardianship and protective placement actions on behalf of Rock County including drafting petitions and preparing court orders, and ensures that the Department is in compliance with the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and the Interstate Compact on the placement of children (ICPC) Salary Information Salary range is $107,161.60-$116,708.80 annually, salary is negotiable we offer a robust set of benefits to our eligible employees that includes health, dental and vision insurance as well as deferred compensation, flexible spending, employee assistance program, a retirement plan through the Wisconsin State Retirement System (WRS)•, life insurance through the Wisconsin State Retirement System as well as several voluntary benefits the employee can participate in. Qualifications Requirements include experience in the professional practice of law (preferably family law), including litigation and/or municipal legal experience; graduation from an accredited school of law; and a license in good standing to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
