Job Description

Overview 40+ Year old family owned glass company in North Alabama....We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager / Estimator to join our team! This vital role combines office management expertise with estimating responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations while accurately assessing project costs and timelines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth by managing administrative functions and supporting project estimations with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities the right person will help Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, filing, front desk management, multi-line phone systems, and calendar coordination to ensure efficiency and professionalism. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate procurement activities to support project needs and office supplies. Prepare detailed project estimates by analyzing specifications, reviewing blueprints, and utilizing BlueBeam and GDS software. Handle human resources functions including payroll processing, employee onboarding, training & development programs, and maintaining confidential personnel records. Supervise staff, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality workdays to provide perfect customer service. Coordinate event planning for company meetings or client events, ensuring all logistics are handled seamlessly. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage budgets, and perform regular financial reconciliations using spreadsheets and accounting software. Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures while handling sensitive or confidential information with integrity. Support client communication efforts through professional correspondence, phone etiquette, and timely follow-up on inquiries or project updates. Experience Proven supervisory experience in an office environment with demonstrated team management skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), spreadsheets creation, and calendar management tools to use when needed. Experience with bookkeeping, accounting software (such as Quicbooks), applications ect.. Familiarity and experience with similar settings is a plus. Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written. Knowledge of human resources practices including employee training programs, and confidentiality handling is highly desirable. Pay:
$29.00 - $48.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
