Job Description
The Kinard Law Office is a boutique law firm in Mobile, Alabama seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team. Our practice consists of criminal defense, family law work, civil litigation and estate planning. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services. Duties may include assisting with filing various court documents, answering phones and calendaring. Although not required, the ideal candidate will have civil/criminal litigation experience, be familiar with e-filing in state courts, calendaring/docketing, and various legal administrative duties. Looking for applicants with great organizational skills, ability to multitask, self-motivator, STRONG attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and help wherever needed. Must be a dedicated professional with a positive attitude. Responsibilities:
Provide a compassionate and professional first impression of the firm Listen carefully to the client's situation and assess urgency. Handle client communication and inquiries while making sure they feel seen and heard Conduct initial in-take process and gather detailed information for Attorney(s) Perform general administrative duties (answering phone calls, respond to emails, calendar hearings and deadlines, create/organize case files, manage logistics, work with clients and other tasks as needed) Schedule consultations or appointments with attorney Provide updates to potential clients about next steps Follow up with leads who haven't yet retained the firm Monitor deadlines and calendar court dates File basic legal documents and correspondences Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes Enter case details into the firm's case management software Maintain up-to-date and organized records of all communications Consistently document and manage entry of client information within our case management system Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices Aid attorneys and paralegals with interrogatories and other discovery requests Gather relevant information from a variety of sourcesJob Type:
