Job Description

Job Summary The Office Manager leads the administrative, communications, and guest assimilation systems that allow Expedition's ministries to function well. This is a leadership role built on multiplication: the Office Manager is responsible that the day-to-day work is done with excellence, and accomplishes it primarily by recruiting, training, and leading volunteer teams rather than carrying every task personally. This frees the Office Manager to focus on higher-level work—building and improving systems, stewarding the church's communications and brand, guiding the guest experience, and developing the people who serve. The ideal candidate is a high-capacity, detail-oriented leader who is fluent with technology, thinks in systems, and multiplies the church's capacity by equipping others. Education and Experience This position requires proven administrative or operations experience, ideally in a church, nonprofit, or small-business setting, and demonstrated success recruiting, training, and leading volunteers or staff. Strong candidates bring excellent organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently. Advanced computer skills are required, including a working knowledge of email, web browsers, and cloud-based software; familiarity with Planning Center, Subsplash, MailChimp , and Canva , or the demonstrated ability to learn them quickly, is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. The employee will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, sound judgment, and the confidence to make decisions and carry real responsibility.
