POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Office Manager plays a vital administrative and operational role in supporting the delivery of Home Health (HH) and Hospice services. This position ensures accurate intake processing, document organization, scheduling, compliance, and efficient use of the Axxess platform. It also supports agency regulatory requirements and facilitates communication between care teams, physicians, and families. This is a high-responsibility support position ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills, strong familiarity with electronic health platforms, and a working knowledge of home health and hospice operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Admissions & Intake Process and input referrals; prepare admission packets and facility folders Schedule visits and distribute intake paperwork and updates to RN staff Upload and manage documents (POCs, RXs, labs) in Axxess Axxess & Document Management Oversee therapy schedules, physician/vendor setup, and NOA submissions Log signed orders, generate reports, and manage QA submissions to IQIES Compliance & Agency Operations Maintain required logs, dispose/order supplies, and manage quarterly meetings Support audits, in-services, and agency evaluations; coordinate IDG meetings Discharges Notify families of discharges, prepare required forms, and retrieve facility folders
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree - Health Administration (or Healthcare Management) 2-3 years of administrative or healthcare operations experience, HH/Hospice preferred Proficiency with Axxess or similar EHR systems Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail
