Job Overview:
SNF Business Office Manager (BOM) 8 Hour Shifts │8:30AM-5:00PM│Monday-Friday We are in search of a Business Office Manager with at least 1-2 years of experience in the SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility) Setting. Candidates must have a strong background with insurance benefits for the SNF setting and must possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Must be willing/comfortable with discussing financial affairs with Residents/families.Requirements:
- Experience in hospital/SNF financial administration, or any combination of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Point Click Care and HMO billing experience preferred. Duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Verifying insurance benefits
- Requesting for new/continuing authorization with plan case manager for LTC patients
- Participating in IDT meetings to discuss plan of care/insurance benefits
- Communicating member financial liability to Residents/Families
- Collections calls/visits
- Facilitating process for medi-cal applications
- Medicare/ HMO/ VA/ Medical billing
- Aging reviews
- TAR Requests
- Attending PDPM meetings
- Maintaining logs for skilled services
- Maintaining Resident Trust documentation
- HMO Billing Obtaining authorizations for managed Medi-cal
- Any other tasks determined by AR Resourse/Administrator
- Implement and assist with the facility's accounting functions under the supervision of the Business Office Manager.
- Conduct accurate processing of monthly billing to appropriate payer sources (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO PPO's Hospice Co Insurances companies and Private Patients)
- Monitor and collect accounts receivables as assigned.
- Perform functions of computer/data processor as necessary.
