This pivotal role combines comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities with office management duties, ensuring the smooth financial and administrative operation of our organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and office coordination. Duties Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare and review financial reports, including budgets, financial statements, and tax-related documentation. Maintain and operate various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks. Coordinate office management tasks such as supply procurement, vendor communication, scheduling, and supporting administrative functions to foster an efficient work environment. Assist with audit preparations, internal controls implementation, and compliance monitoring. Support budgeting activities by analyzing expenses and forecasting future financial needs. Ensure data integrity through meticulous account analysis and 10-key typing accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of corporate and non-profit accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms; experience with governmental accounting is a plus. Solid knowledge of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation techniques, and financial report writing. Familiarity with payroll processing, tax regulations, bank reconciliation procedures, and accounts payable/receivable management. Strong technical accounting skills including general ledger reconciliation and account analysis. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office setting. High level of accuracy in 10-key typing and data entry tasks; attention to detail is essential.
