Job Description

Assistant Business Office Manager FLSA Classification:
Exempt (Hourly) Reports to :
Business Office Manager/Administrator Overview :
The Assistant Business Office Manager assists the Business Office Manager in maintaining complete and systems records of the financial transactions and variety of other business office duties in accordance with sound accounting practices.
Responsibilities :
Assist in the management, oversight, and completion of billing process consistent with the company policies, procedures, and standards. Assist in the management and oversight of business office functions in records, accounting, billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, inventory and supply management. Manage the Medicaid pending application and conversion process to ensure timely resolution. Responsible for all aspects of the resident trust accounting system, including security of patient funds. Understands and adheres to the guidelines of "Resident Rights". Performs additional duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager and/or Administrator.
Qualifications :
Experience in skilled nursing/long term care facility. Knowledgeable of bookkeeping or accounting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting to include Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing.
