We are looking for an outgoing and companionate Office Administrator to join our team at our Tampa office . The Office Administrator plays a crucial role in our internal, centralized operations and must be a leader dedicated to ensuring exceptional care in every patient interaction. As an Office Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility under the direction of upper management - ensuring that all activities are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Essential Duties:

(35%) Site & Process Improvement Activities Develops procedures for office activities, such as filing, records maintenance, faxing, and mail distribution Meets with management team and sales personnel to discuss potential opportunities, threats, and progress with ongoing implementations Supervises the workflow of the office Acts as a liaison between patients, sales personnel, technologists, and referring offices (30%) Insurance Verification & Authorization Checks all exams for pre-certification with patient's insurance company Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (Medicare, United Healthcare, etc.) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys, and insurance companies following company guidelines Accurately maintains patient records within radiology information system (RIS) (35%) Registration & Scheduling Schedules patients and enters orders Greets and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; registers demographic information and processes payment plans and copays Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner Maintains general office appearance Orders office supplies as needed Completes confirmation calls and provides preparation instructions to patients Faxes reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested Maintains an up to date and accurate pending-scheduling list
Core Requirements:
Demonstrated track record of leadership abilities Prior medical office experience in a small-to-medium-sized medical clinic - radiology office experience preferred Prior insurance verification experience Experience in obtaining insurance authorizations - experience with radiology insurance authorizations is preferred
