Job Summary We are seeking a professional and organized
PART-TIME
receptionist/administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clinic, responsible for managing front desk operations and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, organization and a high level of independence/troubleshooting capability. Proficiency in medical terminology/insurance is preferred but can be taught. This is a new office-only been open a year so has the potential for you to grow with the practice! Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment. Manage incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls to appropriate staff members. Form contact lens quotes Collect payment and appropriately apply a patient's insurance benefit. Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic's calendar efficiently. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness Utilize Crystal PM system for patient management and record keeping. Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the patient experience. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations. Assist patients in the Optical with eyeglasses on an as needed basis Skills Understanding of clinic operations and front desk responsibilities. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills. Independence and problem solving capabilities Familiarity with healthcare management systems is preferred but can be taught. Knowledge of optometry terminology is a plus. Proficient in computer use, including data entry and documentation review. Ability to multitask effectively.
