Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. This pivotal role involves managing office procedures, supporting staff, coordinating communication, and maintaining an efficient workspace. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for creating a productive office atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead administrative and operational functions and contribute to the overall success of our team. Southern Aggregates is a wholesale rock and landscaping material company. This position is located inside an active rock yard and involves daily interaction with customers, contractors, dump truck drivers, loader operators, and yard personnel. The work environment is currently predominantly male, so applicants should be comfortable working professionally and confidently in a busy, industrial environment. Duties Assist with sales and dispatching of company trucks. Managing daily front office operations Assisting retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone Taking and processing customer orders Coordinating and running delivery dispatch Communicating with drivers, loader operators, customers, and management Filing and maintaining organized office records Processing paperwork accurately Answering phones and handling multiple tasks at once Learning rock and landscaping materials, pricing, and company procedures Following company payment, delivery, and verification policies Handling day-to-day issues independently and knowing when management involvement is needed Keeping the office organized and running smoothly throughout the day Qualifications Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), spreadsheets, and productivity software. Excellent computer skills including data entry, file management, and general computer literacy. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and courteously. Bilingual abilities are a plus Personal assistant experience or calendar management expertise will be considered a strong asset. Previous office, administrative, or office management experience is required Strong computer skills and ability to learn company software Excellent organizational and filing skills Strong multitasking abilities Able to work independently without needing to be micromanaged Dependable and punctual Reliable transportation Strong customer service and communication skills Able to stay organized in a busy environment with frequent interruptions Comfortable communicating with contractors, drivers, equipment operators, customers, and management Must have reliable availability to consistently work the required schedule Join us as an Office Manager to lead our administrative efforts with enthusiasm and precision! This training is required to fully understand company policies, procedures, products, dispatch, and daily yard operations..
Pay:
