Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, organized, and personable Dental Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who can oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy dental practice while supporting our doctors, clinical team, and patients. This position is hands-on and requires someone who is comfortable balancing team leadership, patient relations, scheduling, insurance, financial responsibilities, and office operations . Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the dental office Lead, support, and motivate the administrative and clinical team Manage staff schedules, coverage, timekeeping, and workflow Coordinate doctor and hygiene schedules for maximum efficiency Monitor production, collections, accounts receivable, and office expenses Handle insurance verification, claims, pre-authorizations, and outstanding accounts Ensure accurate patient billing and financial arrangements Monitor and improve case acceptance and treatment coordination Maintain excellent patient communication and customer service Address patient concerns professionally and efficiently Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management Ensure office policies and procedures are followed consistently Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable Hawaii regulations Work closely with the dentist/owner on practice goals and business operations Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented office culture Qualifications Previous dental office management experience preferred Strong knowledge of dental practice operations and terminology Experience with dental insurance and billing Familiarity with dental practice management software Dentrix Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities Professional, friendly, and patient-focused Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the entire team Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Medical insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Sick pay 401(k) with employer matching Supportive and professional work environment Opportunity for growth within the practice Annual Salary Range $55,000-65,000 with potential to earn more with a bonus system We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, leads by example, and genuinely cares about both our patients and our team.
