This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial transactions, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support the overall financial health of our millwork operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, and possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help streamline processes, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to our company's growth. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Perform detailed data entry and account reconciliation using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records. Process journal entries and handle double-entry bookkeeping with precision, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Support compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and assist with internal audits related to financial transactions. Utilize financial software like Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Paychex to manage payroll and employee data securely. Analyze Excel data for reporting purposes, perform account analysis, and prepare financial reports to inform decision-making. Handle confidential information with integrity while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external vendors. Skills Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including GAAP and governmental accounting standards. Proficiency in multiple accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with financial software like UltiPro or ADP is highly desirable. Expertise in accounts payable/receivable management, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to perform complex math calculations accurately; familiarity with debits & credits and journal entries is essential. Demonstrated experience in data entry, bookkeeping, and Excel data analysis for reporting purposes. Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including SOX compliance and public accounting practices is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information professionally while maintaining high attention to detail in all tasks.
