Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Business Office Manager specializing in Long Term Care facilities to oversee the administrative and financial operations of healthcare practices. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare management, medical office administration, and team supervision. The Business Office Manager will play a critical role in optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining regulatory standards, and supporting healthcare staff to deliver exceptional patient care. Duties Oversee daily administrative functions within the long-term care setting, including medical records management, patient billing, and appointment scheduling. Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control to ensure the financial health of the practice. Supervise healthcare administrative staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and leadership to promote a cohesive team environment. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and state-specific health policies. Coordinate with medical professionals to support clinical operations, including EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other patient management software. Oversee medical billing processes and ensure accurate coding in accordance with insurance requirements and managed care policies. Maintain effective communication channels between staff, patients, and external agencies to enhance customer service and operational transparency. Implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing workflow efficiency and enhancing patient satisfaction. Skills Extensive knowledge of healthcare management practices including practice management systems and office management protocols. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other electronic health records platforms. Strong fiscal management skills encompassing budgeting, financial analysis, and medical billing procedures. Proven supervisory experience managing healthcare staff across various disciplines including nursing and administrative personnel. Familiarity with health regulation policies such as HIPAA compliance, JCAHO accreditation standards, and utilization management protocols. Excellent managerial communication skills capable of guiding teams effectively while maintaining high levels of customer service. Experience with medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical workflows within long-term care or hospital environments. Ability to navigate complex healthcare regulations while ensuring practice compliance through diligent policy implementation.
