Join Our Team! We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Business Office Manager to lead the daily financial and administrative operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care billing, accounts receivable management, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and exceptional customer service skills. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all business office operations, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and resident trust accounts. Manage Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, private insurance, and private pay billing processes. Ensure timely and accurate claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up on denied or outstanding claims. Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement collection strategies to achieve financial goals. Coordinate resident financial admissions, insurance verification, and financial counseling with residents and families. Assist families with Medicaid applications and financial eligibility requirements. Maintain compliance with federal, state, CMS, HIPAA, and facility policies. Prepare monthly financial and accounts receivable reports for facility leadership. Supervise, train, and support business office personnel. Collaborate with the Administrator, MDS Coordinator, Social Services, Nursing, and Therapy to maximize reimbursement. Ensure resident trust funds are managed in accordance with applicable regulations. Respond professionally to resident and family inquiries regarding billing and financial matters. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of Business Office experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care setting preferred. Strong knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Medicaid, Managed Care, and private insurance billing. Experience managing accounts receivable and collections. Proficiency with electronic health records and billing systems (PointClickCare experience preferred). Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
