$85,000 a year with bonusesAbout Us:
We are a machines shop that specializes in servicing hydraulic cylinders. There is a staff of 9 people in the shop with two to three people in the front office. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial and front office operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks, including AP/AR and bank reconciliations
- Create and send accurate customer invoices in a timely manner
- Track and follow up on receivables to ensure timely payments
- Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documents
- Process payroll and keep accurate payroll records
- Run the front office: answer phones, greet visitors, manage supplies
- Monitor and respond to emails and coordinate internal communications
- Support HR and administrative functions as needed
- Coordinate with external CPA or accountant during tax season and audits
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Office Manager
- Proficient in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and general office software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., Gusto, ADP, or QuickBooks Payroll)
- Prior experience in a small business or manufacturing/technical environment
