Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Office Manager to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Business Office in accordance with federal, state and local regulatory guidance. The role reports directly to the facility's Administrator and must be open to receiving guidance and direction from the company's Regional Business Office staff. The ideal candidate should have meaningful, systems-oriented business office experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care setting; know how to maintain accurate census and comprehensive financial records; and be familiar with common payors (Medicare, Medicaid, Senior Care Options, etc.). Duties Oversee daily administrative operations, including billing, coding, and medical records management using PointClickCare, the facility's EMR/EHR system. Manage medical billing processes to optimize revenue cycle performance. Supervise reception in conjunction with the Administrator to provide high-quality customer service and positive interactions with all of our residents, families and vendors. Ensure adherence to CMS/DPH regulations, Joint Commission standards, HIPAA rules and company-specific policies and procedures related to the Business Office. Coordinate human resources functions within the department (hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, and managing staff schedules) to maintin a motivated and engaged team. Facilitate practice management tasks including utilization management, managed care coordination, and ensuring efficient patient management workflows. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management with a strong background in SNF/LTC environments. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams within a healthcare setting. Proficiency with PointClickCare or similar EMR/EHR; familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management is essential. Thorough, working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other payor systems and processes; Utilization Review and financial management of resident stays. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service excellence to foster positive patient interactions. Highly efficient with computers and software specific to the role, such as the Microsoft Office Suite and web browsing.
