Job Description
Bay Eye Center - Cedarville is seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager with prior optometry experience to oversee the daily operations of our practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of optometric workflows, patient care, optical operations, insurance, and practice management, along with proven leadership and organizational skills. Duties Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and an excellent patient experience Manage doctor, staff, and patient schedules Supervise, train, and support front desk, technician, and optical staff Coordinate daily clinical and optical workflows Manage vendor relationships, ordering, and inventory Support staff meetings, training, and practice initiatives Maintain accurate records and assist with bookkeeping and financial tracking Manage payroll processes and assist with employee onboarding and HR functions Monitor budgets and expenses Utilize Revolution EHR and other practice management systems for scheduling, billing, and reporting Assist with patient scheduling, insurance questions, eyewear orders, and other front desk needs Ensure compliance with office policies and applicable healthcare requirements Promote a positive, professional, and patient-focused workplace culture Qualifications Previous optometry experience is required Prior experience in an optometry practice, preferably in a supervisory or management role Strong understanding of optometric practice operations and workflows Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and optical operations Proven leadership and staff management skills Experience with practice management/EHR systems; Revolution EHR preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced practice environment Experience with payroll, budgeting, bookkeeping, and vendor management is a plus Strong customer service skills and a professional, welcoming demeanor Why Join Bay Eye Center?
