About
TAP CRE TAP CRE
is a boutique commercial real estate brokerage based in Detroit's New Center district. We represent buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants across industrial, retail, office, land and income properties throughout Metro Detroit.
Our edge is hands-on:
our brokerage was built by people with a construction background, and we underwrite deals the way a builder would. We're moving into a new, larger office and growing our agent team over the next year — this role is the person who keeps that office running. The role We're hiring an Office Manager / Executive Assistant to run the day-to-day operations of the brokerage and support the Principal Broker directly. This is one combined role for someone who likes owning the whole picture — the office, the calendar, the paperwork, the people walking in the door — rather than one narrow slice of it. You'll start part-time hourly while you learn our systems, then convert to full-time (with a salary and benefits contribution) around the 60-90 day mark once you're up to speed. Strong performers who want to grow in commercial real estate can have their Michigan real estate license paid for by the firm. What you'll do Run the office Open and close the office, keep it presentable, and be the first point of contact for walk-ins, calls and general inquiries Manage supplies, vendors, mail, deliveries and building/maintenance requests Keep shared systems organized — Google Workspace, our CRM, listing files and shared drives — so that anyone on the team can find what they need Support the Principal Broker Manage the broker's calendar, schedule showings, inspections, client meetings and closings, and keep the day moving Draft and send correspondence, prepare meeting materials, and follow up on open items so nothing slips Track deal deadlines (due diligence, financing, closing dates) and make sure the right people are reminded at the right time Handle transaction and listing paperwork Prepare and organize listing agreements, purchase agreements, disclosures and closing files; track signatures and completion Enter and update listings in the MLS and marketing channels; coordinate photography and signage with our marketing contractors Maintain accurate records for compliance and file audits Onboard agents and new hires Walk new agents and employees through onboarding paperwork, license transfers, systems access, email, CRM and office setup Keep onboarding checklists and the agent handbook current as the team grows Keep the books tidy (light) Log expenses, collect and file invoices, process commission disbursement paperwork, and coordinate with the firm's bookkeeper/accountant What we're looking for Must have 2+ years of experience as an office manager, executive assistant, administrative coordinator or similar Very organized — you keep lists, you close loops, and you notice when a deadline is coming before anyone asks Clear, professional written and verbal communication; comfortable on the phone with clients, attorneys, lenders and title companies Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets) and able to pick up new software quickly Discretion with confidential client and financial information Reliable, in-office, Monday-Friday, during business hours Nice to have Real estate, title, mortgage, property management or construction office experience Familiarity with an MLS, DocuSign/Dotloop, or a CRM A Michigan real estate license, or interest in getting one (we'll pay for it) Basic bookkeeping or QuickBooks experience Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to draft, summarize and organize Pay, schedule and growth $20-$25/hour to start, based on experience Part-time to start (roughly 20-30 hours/week), converting to full-time at 60-90 days with a salary, a monthly health insurance contribution, and eligibility for an office performance bonus tied to the firm's results Firm-paid Michigan real estate license course and exam fees for team members who want to get licensed after conversion In-office at our new Detroit location (2475 W Grand Blvd, Suite 2A, Detroit, MI 48208) A small, direct team where your work is visible and you're not one of fifty admins What success looks like in the first 90 days The office runs without the broker thinking about it — supplies, vendors, phones, mail and files are handled Deal calendars and deadlines are tracked in one place and nothing gets missed New agents joining the firm get a clean, consistent onboarding experience You've learned our listing and transaction workflow well enough to prepare a listing file start to finish How to apply Apply on Indeed with your resume and a short note (a few sentences is fine) about the most disorganized office or process you've cleaned up and how you did it. Candidates who move forward will have a phone screen, then an in-person interview at our office.
