Job Description
Ciena Healthcare seeks a Business Office Manager to lead billing, receivables, resident trust, and admission financials for our skilled nursing and long-term care center. In this resident-centered, fast-paced setting, you will oversee AR, insurance verification, Medicaid/Medicare billing, month-end close support, and accurate recordkeeping. You'll supervise office staff, partner closely with clinical and admissions teams, support families with financial questions, and ensure regulatory compliance while upholding dignity, respect, and service excellence. Responsibilities Oversee resident billing, accounts receivable, and collections for the center Manage Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing and follow-up Maintain accurate resident trust, admission financials, and required documentation Support month-end close, reporting, and reconciliation tasks Supervise and train business office staff to ensure efficient workflows Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and social work teams on resident financial matters Assist residents and families with financial questions and payment arrangements Ensure compliance with payer, state, and federal regulations and company policies Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements in the office Safeguard resident financial data and maintain a high level of customer service Required Skills Medical billing and collections Accounts receivable management Medicare and Medicaid billing Long-term care reimbursement Electronic health record (EHR) systems General ledger and month-end processes Excel and financial reporting Regulatory compliance in healthcare Staff supervision and scheduling Customer service and family relations
