Full Job Description Position Summary:
Optalis Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Regional Business Office Manager for the West Side of Michigan to oversee the daily operations and support of our business office staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing, collections, financial reporting, and administrative functions to ensure efficient and effective office performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain communication with facility Administrators and Business Office Managers to ensure payment for patient care services is collected. Provide assistance to Business Office Managers on past due accounts. Ensure Private collection efforts are completed in a timely manner. Responsible for conducting monthly A/R Reviews. Ensure accuracy of census and payors entered accounting software by facility Business Office Manager. Ongoing interaction with facility staff, administration, vendors and government agencies. Support survey readiness and corrective action planning. Monitor nursing documentation and clinical record accuracy. Skills & Competencies Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric nursing practices and SNF regulations. Leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to effectively multitask.
Required:
Education or experience with accounting functions, including accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable collections, and bank reconciliations. Supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
Preferred:
Advanced training or certification in management (preferred). Physical & Work Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and responding to emergencies. Occasional required to lift objects of 10 to 25 pounds.
