Job Description
Business Development Manager (Novi, MI): Lead the company's business development function by defining and executing strategies to expand market presence, increase shipment volumes, and strengthen the company's position in international logistics markets. Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs. Direct market analysis efforts by interpreting trends, customer demand, and competitive dynamics, and translating these insights into actionable commercial strategies and service enhancements. Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Own the development and implementation of pricing strategies for freight forwarding services, aligning rate structures and commercial terms with market conditions, cost considerations, and profitability targets. Oversee freight forwarding operations from a commercial perspective, ensuring that shipment planning, cargo booking, and documentation processes are aligned with client requirements, service standards, and regulatory obligations. Drive client acquisition and retention by structuring logistics solutions, leading commercial negotiations, and maintaining strategic relationships across key trade lanes, including Türkiye-United States routes. Monitor and optimize commercial and operational performance by identifying inefficiencies, implementing improvements, and ensuring alignment between business development objectives and service delivery capabilities.
