Job Description
The Phillip Charles Group has been servicing the local metro Detroit area for the past 30 years and has built incredibly strong partnerships with our clients, candidates and employees. We have worked with our current client for the past 14 years and they are looking for a strong Office Manager for a Contract to Hire opportunity based out of their Romulus, Mi. location. We are seeking a highly organized individual with exceptional data entry and time management skills. Experience in shipping, receiving, purchasing, or inventory management is considered a significant advantage, as this role may eventually expand to include material and parts purchasing.
Salary:
$50,000•$55,000 annually ($24•$25 per hour)Hours:
Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•4:30 PM (Flexible hours possible)Key Responsibilities:
Administrative:
Manage Union vacation schedules, manual filing, supply ordering, and answering/transferring calls.Finance:
Handle Accounts Payable and Receivable and update invoices.Operations:
Order entry (creating PDFs) and working with Bills of Lading.HR & Payroll:
Assist with employee insurance and COBRA benefits (limited scope/corporate managed) and handle payroll tasks via Paychex.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business preferred. Additional business-related education or specialized training is desirable. 1 to 3 years of office management experience required. Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary for effective interaction with employees and customers. Ability to process complex, time-sensitive data from multiple sources and communicate required actions is essential. Strong knowledge of word processing and Excel, as well as business-related operations software, is preferred.
