This role is well-suited for new graduates or retired professionals, as well as individuals seeking flexible, mission-driven work experience. This position provides hands-on administrative experience, professional mentorship, and exposure to nonprofit operations in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide general administrative and clerical support Answer phones, respond to emails, and route inquiries Assist with data entry and maintaining client and volunteer records Support volunteer onboarding, scheduling, and communications Prepare basic documents, flyers, and correspondence Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems Assist with event coordination and outreach projects Support special projects as assigned Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Qualifications High school diploma or currently enrolled in college preferred Eligible for Federal Work-Study or other youth employment programs (preferred but not required) Basic computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets) Strong organizational and communication skills Willingness to learn and take direction Reliable, professional, and service-oriented Learning & Development Opportunities Gain real-world nonprofit and administrative experience Develop professional communication and office skills Learn about community resources and social service coordination Receive mentorship and resume-building experience Opportunity to grow into expanded responsibilities or leadership roles Additional Information Flexible scheduling around school or program requirements Training provided; prior experience not required Why Join St. Joseph's Helpers This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable work experience.
