We're looking for a skilled Diesel/Trailer Mechanic to join our Taylor, MI shop — someone who takes pride in their work, owns their bay, and wants to be part of a team that's going somewhere. About the Role You'll be the reason our fleet stays road-ready. From preventative maintenance to complex diagnostics, you'll work across a diverse range of equipment with the autonomy to get the job done right — and a team behind you when you need it. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs across a variety of trucks and trailers Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems — air, brakes, electrical, tires, and sheet metal — with minimal supervision Conduct
DOT/FMCSA
inspections and ensure all completed work meets regulatory and company standards Document work accurately using electronic POS and SVO systems (time, parts, workflow, completed repairs) Collaborate with fellow technicians to evaluate equipment condition and meet turnaround targets Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times What You Bring Hands-on experience in truck and trailer repair — air systems, electrical, brakes, tires, and sheet metal Class A CDL preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team Strong communication skills — you'll interface directly with drivers daily A solutions-first mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment Comfort with electronic shop management systems, or the drive to learn quickly Why Load One We don't just fill seats — we invest in the people who keep us moving.
