Description A respected and well-established mid-sized law firm in the Twin Cities is seeking an Assistant Firm Administrator to join its operations and leadership team. This is a highly visible role supporting both the firm's financial operations and executive leadership. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to firm-wide administration, human resources, accounting, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day business operations. This opportunity is with a collaborative, employee-focused law firm that emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional client service. Employees work together closely in-office and are committed to providing outstanding service to attorneys, staff, and clients alike. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm administrative experience, exceptional organizational skills, strong financial acumen, and the ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Financial & Accounting Operations

+ Assist with monthly client billing and invoicing processes

+ Process client payments, including credit card and check transactions

+ Enter and track client-related costs and expenses

+ Prepare attorney production and origination reports

+ Support accounts payable functions and other accounting-related activities

+ Partner closely with firm leadership regarding financial reporting and operational metrics Human Resources, Benefits & Payroll

+ Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee training initiatives

+ Coordinate onboarding for attorneys and staff members

+ Assist with payroll administration and updates through a third-party payroll provider

+ Support employee benefits administration, annual renewals, and open enrollment processes

+ Assist with regulatory and mandatory employment-related reporting

+ Serve as a resource for HR-related administrative matters Firm Administration & Operations

+ Support firm leadership with strategic planning initiatives and special projects

+ Assist with planning attorney retreats, firm events, and internal initiatives

+ Coordinate vendor relationships and service providers

+ Provide support for facilities management and office operations

+ Assist leadership with administrative and operational projects as needed Requirements

+ Prior law firm administration, legal operations, accounting, HR, or firm management experience strongly preferred

+ Experience supporting financial operations, payroll, benefits, and administrative functions

+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

+ Experience with legal accounting or practice management software preferred

+ Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism Compensation & Benefits

+ Starting salary of $115,000+, depending on experience
