Front Office Manager TownePlace Suites by Marriott Rochester, MN Job Details Full-time From $40,000 a year 6 days ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Organizing events Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Phone communication Staff scheduling Managing hospitality teams Mid-level High school diploma or GED Team development Bachelor's degree Staff training Mentoring Recruiting Purchasing Office management Leadership 2 years Delegation Team motivation (leadership skill) Communication skills Customer complaint resolution Client interaction via phone calls Hospitality management Full Job Description Front Office Manager Duties and Responsibilities Assign tasks and ensure all staff positions are covered for the duration of shift Field complaints and address Guest concerns Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide basic information Oversee and manage support staff Address complaints and requests with quality customer service skills Recruit and train new employees Maintain office equipment such as photocopier, fax machine, etc. Monitor front desk and ensure all employees comply with all security procedures for Guests Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers Purchase, track, and invoice office supplies and market ordering Create, organize, and maintain schedules for all employees Ensure front desk is covered at all times Perform group reservations and billing Assist in planning company events, meetings, luncheons, and employee team building activities or special projects as needed Front Office Manager Requirements and Qualifications High school degree or equivalent; bachelor's degree or certification in management in related field preferred 2+ years of previous experience as a front office manager or a related role preferred Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) Solid customer service skills Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead Excellent verbal and written communication skills In-depth understanding of the hospitality industry Strict adherence to company philosophy, mission statement, and sales goals
