ACCOUNTING & OFFICE
MANAGEROcean Springs, MS | $70,000 Annually | Full-Time | Day Shift | In-Person
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Office Manager to oversee accounting operations, payroll, purchasing, invoicing, financial reporting, and general office administration within a manufacturing environment. This position requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate financial records, meet critical deadlines, and provide effective leadership to office staff.
ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIESManage day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end closing activities.

Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll records, tax filings, and required reporting.

Oversee accounts receivable, customer invoicing, payment tracking, and related documentation.

Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

Manage purchasing activities, vendor relationships, purchase documentation, and expense reporting.

Prepare weekly financial and operational reports for management.

Monitor financial information for accuracy and investigate discrepancies as needed.

Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting and administrative filing systems.

Help ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable ISO standards.

Coordinate insurance-related matters and provide administrative support for Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs.

Supervise, support, and provide direction to office staff.

Help establish and maintain efficient administrative and accounting processes.

Protect confidential employee, payroll, company, and financial information.

Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.5-7 years of accounting and management experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Strong hands-on experience with accounting operations, payroll, reconciliations, invoicing, financial reporting, and general office administration.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience with Sage or QuickBooks Online preferred.

Strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and determine appropriate solutions.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet competing deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.

High degree of accuracy, discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
