Job Description
Full-Time | Salaried Management Position We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on hospitality professional to join our leadership team as Front Office Manager. This unique management position combines the responsibilities of a traditional Front Office Manager with those of a Valet/Guest Services Manager, providing leadership and operational oversight for both departments. The ideal candidate will be a visible, engaged leader who thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment and understands that exceptional hospitality begins from the moment a guest arrives and continues through their final departure. Position Overview The Front Office Manager is responsible for supporting the overall operation of the Front Office while directly overseeing both the Front Desk and Valet/Guest Services teams. This individual will play an integral role in maintaining exceptional guest service standards, developing and coaching employees, resolving guest concerns, ensuring smooth daily operations, and creating a welcoming and professional environment throughout the guest experience. This is a salaried management position requiring open availability. While flexibility across all shifts is required based on the needs of the hotel, there will be a strong focus on afternoon and evening shifts, when leadership presence is especially important to our operation. The position may also require the occasional overnight shift, particularly when needed to train, onboard, and support new overnight team members or to provide management coverage based on operational needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct leadership and daily oversight of both the Front Desk and Valet/Guest Services departments Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, and development of team members Maintain a strong and visible management presence throughout the hotel, particularly during peak arrival and evening periods Ensure guests consistently receive warm, professional, attentive, and personalized service Monitor daily arrivals, departures, VIPs, special requests, room assignments, and guest preferences Oversee valet operations to ensure vehicles are handled safely, efficiently, and professionally Maintain proper valet procedures, key control, vehicle documentation, and guest service standards Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service-recovery situations Empower and coach associates to resolve guest concerns effectively while protecting the hotel and its standards Assist with departmental schedules and staffing levels based on occupancy, business demands, and operational needs Train and develop new Front Desk, Valet, Guest Services, and overnight associates Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations with team members Ensure Front Office policies, cash-handling procedures, safety standards, and operational procedures are consistently followed Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and guest service Assist with reviewing guest feedback, surveys, and online reviews to identify opportunities for improvement Support the Director/General Manager with departmental initiatives, service standards, and operational goals Serve as a Manager on Duty and confidently make operational decisions when senior leadership is not present Lead by example and be willing to step into any Front Office or Valet/Guest Services function when business demands require it What We Are Looking For Our ideal candidate is not someone who manages solely from an office. We are looking for a leader who enjoys being present, involved, and engaged with both guests and employees.
The successful candidate will possess:
Previous hotel Front Office management or supervisory experience Previous valet, bell, guest services, or related operational experience strongly preferred Strong leadership and employee-development skills Exceptional guest service and service-recovery abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Confidence handling challenging guest situations professionally and diplomatically Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accountability A professional appearance and leadership presence A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Ability to work collaboratively with multiple hotel departments Schedule & Availability This is a full-time, salaried management position and requires open availability based upon the operational needs of the hotel. Candidates should specifically understand that this is not a traditional Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM management position. The schedule will have a strong emphasis on afternoon and evening shifts, as these are critical periods for guest arrivals and Front Office/Valet operations. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Occasional overnight shifts may also be necessary, particularly for the training and development of newly hired overnight associates, special operational circumstances, or management coverage. Why Join Our Team? This position offers an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their leadership career. Because the role oversees both Front Office and Valet/Guest Services, the Front Office Manager has the opportunity to directly influence the entire arrival and departure experience while helping develop a team committed to exceptional hospitality. If you are a hands-on leader who believes in being present with your team, genuinely enjoys taking care of guests, and takes pride in creating an exceptional hotel experience, we would love to hear from you.Job Type:
