Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Family Practice Office Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a busy healthcare practice. This pivotal role combines administrative expertise with clinical understanding to ensure smooth clinic functioning, exceptional patient care, billing and coding, supporting with payment collections from front office staff, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for improving healthcare delivery through efficient practice management. Your energetic approach will motivate your team, streamline processes, and foster a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Duties Billing and coding weekly charts. Manage all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting to ensure the practice remains financially healthy Supervise healthcare staff including medical administrative support personnel, nurses, and other clinical team members, fostering a positive team environment Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and health policy policies by implementing appropriate procedures and training Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like eClinicalWorks or EMR/EHR platforms to maintain accurate medical records and facilitate seamless patient management Oversee medical billing processes and manage accounts receivable to maximize revenue cycle performance Coordinate with healthcare providers on practice management issues including utilization management, managed care contracts, and acute care protocols Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and ensuring their experience is positive from check-in to discharge Implement human resources policies related to staffing, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with employment laws Skills Extensive experience in medical office management with proficiency in clinic operations and healthcare practice management software. Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and medical billing expertise Proven supervisory experience leading diverse healthcare teams in fast-paced environments In-depth knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks for electronic health records management Excellent managerial communication skills for team leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement Ability to navigate medical terminology accurately while managing medical records efficiently Competence in office management tasks using Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation purposes Experience in dental clinic operations is a plus; familiarity with managed care and utilization management enhances effectiveness Strong understanding of healthcare staff management practices within acute care settings or primary care clinics Join us as a Family Practice Office Manager where your leadership will directly impact the quality of patient care while fostering an efficient, compliant, and supportive work environment.
