Job Description

Full-Time Office Administrator LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory - Atco, NJ LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory is seeking a Full-Time Office Administrator to become an important part of our team. This position requires someone who is dependable, highly organized, professional, and comfortable communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds. Because we serve families during very important and sensitive times, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone who can think independently, recognize what needs to be done, and solve problems as they arise . The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner Communicate with families, staff members, vendors, and other professionals Prepare and process documents and correspondence Manage email communications Perform accurate data entry and maintain records Assist with general administrative and office responsibilities Organize and prioritize multiple tasks throughout the workday Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Identify problems and assist in finding practical solutions Learn and utilize funeral home software and other office systems Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Strong general computer knowledge Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Publisher Ability to learn new computer programs and office systems Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Professional appearance and demeanor Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a funeral home environment Bilingual skills are a plus Current Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain a Notary commission is preferred Experience Previous funeral home experience is not required . Office administration, customer service, receptionist, or similar professional experience is preferred. More importantly, we are looking for the right individual —someone who communicates well, uses good judgment, takes initiative, treats people with respect, and is willing to learn. Position & Benefits This is a full-time position . Employee benefits are available after 60 days of employment.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
