Job Description

Watts Good Electric is an established, veteran-owned electrical contractor serving Ocean and Monmouth Counties. We are looking for an experienced Office Manager / Service Coordinator to manage scheduling, customer communication, and the daily administrative work that keeps our service team moving. You will be the main point of contact for our customers and work directly with the owners and electricians. We need someone who is comfortable taking responsibility, keeping accurate records, and following things through to completion. This is a hands-on office position. You will answer calls, coordinate appointments, communicate schedule changes, and keep track of what each job needs next. As you learn our services and procedures, the goal is for you to manage routine daily office operations independently, with support from the owners when needed. What you will handle Customer communication: Answer incoming calls professionally, respond to messages, gather accurate information, and help customers understand the next steps. Handle concerns calmly and involve an owner when appropriate.
Scheduling and dispatch:
Schedule assessments and electrical work, coordinate with the field team, and account for job duration, travel, availability, and job readiness.
Appointment confirmations and changes:
Confirm appointments, communicate delays or changes promptly, and document customer communication in Jobber.
Job tracking and follow-up:
Follow up on outstanding estimates and approved work awaiting scheduling. Track deposits, permits, inspections, materials, and customer decisions so jobs continue moving forward. Quotes, invoices, and records: Prepare and send documents using approved scopes and pricing, assist with payment follow-up, and keep customer and job information accurate.
Daily office organization:
Maintain task lists and deadlines, identify scheduling gaps or unresolved issues, and give the owners a clear summary of anything requiring their attention. What we are looking for At least two years of relevant experience in scheduling, dispatch, service coordination, or customer-facing office administration. Experience with an electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other home-service business is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable managing phone calls and changing priorities while maintaining accurate notes and completing follow-up work. Strong written communication, a professional phone manner, and reliable attention to detail are essential. We are looking for someone who follows established procedures, responds constructively to feedback, and contributes practical ideas for improving how the office runs. Jobber experience is preferred, but experience with another service-management platform is welcome. You must be comfortable learning software and using digital calendars, email, customer records, and task-management tools. Electrical field experience is not required. We will provide training on our services, pricing procedures, and company-specific processes.
