Business Office Manager Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Previous Business Office Management experience Associates/Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting strongly preferred Experience in Long Term Care accounting preferred Experience with CMS preferred Experience with Point Click Care preferred Experience in third party billing and collections: Medicare, Medicaid and private insurances in a long-term care setting Experience with Medicaid Pending process Knowledgeable of Medicare billing requirements and regulations Record cash receipts in the proper account Maintain necessary billing and financial information in resident files Maintain resident trust accounts and balances monthly Work efficiently, and communicate with corporate billers Coordinate all collection efforts in collaboration with the nursing home Administrator Maintain accurate records of incoming payments with addresses, telephone numbers, etc.; explain bills to residents as necessary and maintain appropriate back-up records Maintain system for recording accounts receivables Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services and documentation required to ensure accurate billing Maintain confidentiality of all information Maintains effective communication with residents, families, facility staff and business office staff members Work with residents to qualify for
