Tars & Stripes Asphalt Maintenance is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Part-Time Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of our office. Our office is part of a small, established asphalt maintenance company, so this position is best suited for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and taking ownership of the administrative side of a business This is an ideal position for someone who is comfortable working independently, is highly organized, and has strong experience with QuickBooks and small-business office operations .

Approximately second week of November Responsibilities The Office Manager will be responsible for a variety of administrative, bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance-related duties, including: Managing day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks Handling payroll through QuickBooks Assisting with bookkeeping and working closely with our outside bookkeeper, who comes into the office monthly Handling payments to vendors Monitoring outstanding invoices and following up to ensure payments are received Overseeing contracts and maintaining organized company records Applying for and maintaining company permits, licenses, registrations, and renewals Working with our insurance agent to maintain required insurance coverage and company compliance Managing email correspondence with customers, vendors, and other business contacts Ordering office supplies and other company items as needed Maintaining organized digital and physical records Assisting with additional administrative needs as they arise Qualifications Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is required Previous bookkeeping, payroll, office management, or small-business administrative experience Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities independently Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to stay on top of deadlines, renewals, invoices, and required documentation Proficient with email, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications Reliable, proactive, and able to problem-solve without constant supervision
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 30.0 per week
