Office Manager The Caumsett Foundation Lloyd Harbor, NY Job Details Part-time $25 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Teamwork Interpersonal skills Executive administrative support Employee relationship building Attention to detail Office management Full Job Description The Caumsett Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, enhancing, and supporting Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve and its historic, natural, and cultural resources. The Foundation is seeking a highly organized and motivated Office Manager to help support its day-to-day operations and advance its programs and initiatives. The Office Manager will serve as an important point of contact for the Foundation under the direction of the Executive Director, responding to inquiries from donors, members, volunteers, event participants, and the public. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Respond to inquiries from donors, members, volunteers, event participants, and the general public. Maintain and manage databases for donors, members, volunteers, events, and fundraising activities. Process donations, grants, memberships, event registrations, and related correspondence. Compile donor and membership lists and execute mail merges for fundraising and membership campaigns. Assist with fundraising campaigns, donor communications, acknowledgments, and other development activities. Assist with Foundation events and programs, including registration, communications, logistics, and follow-up. Manage and maintain necessary permits and related documentation for Foundation activities and events. Oversee insurance policies, certificates, renewals, and related documentation. Assist with administrative functions including recordkeeping, reporting, scheduling, correspondence, and document management. Support the Board President and Executive Director with special projects and other administrative needs as they arise. Qualifications Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with donor or membership databases and mail-merge functions preferred. Experience with nonprofit administration, fundraising, events, membership, or volunteer management is a plus. Professional, collaborative, and responsive, with strong relationship-building skills. Be a team player, willing to take direction, learn new processes, and roll up your sleeves as needed. An interest in public lands, historic preservation, environmental stewardship, and community engagement is desirable.
