A warm, active family in Lloyd Harbor is seeking a calm, loving, and energetic nanny/family assistant to provide support for their three school-aged children. The ideal candidate is an exceptional driver who is confident managing multiple school pickups, extracurricular activities, and changing schedules. The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted extension of their household while providing dependable childcare and family assistant support.
Schedule Required:
Monday through Friday, approximately 2:00 p.m. until the parents return home. End times will vary based on the children's activity schedules and may extend until approximately 9:00 p.m. Preferred (but not required): 1-2 mornings per week, approximately 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., to assist with the morning routine and school drop-offs. Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing care for three school-aged children in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Drive the children to and from school, sports, extracurricular activities, lessons, and appointments. Significant daily driving is a central component of the role. Safely manage multiple schedules while ensuring the children arrive at activities on time. Supervise the children at home while parents attend activities with siblings or manage other family commitments. Prepare healthy after-school snacks and simple meals as needed. Assist with homework, routines, and age-appropriate engagement. Provide family assistant support, including scheduling and overseeing household vendors. Run occasional errands in the Huntington/Lloyd Harbor area. Help maintain organization of the children's belongings and common areas related to their daily activities. The Ideal Candidate Warm, calm, loving, and genuinely enjoys spending time with school-aged children. Confident, experienced driver with an excellent driving record. Driving is an essential component of this position. Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple schedules. Energetic, proactive, and able to keep up with an active family. Comfortable working independently in the home while parents attend children's activities. Strong swimmer, as water safety is important. Comfortable with both dogs and cats. Professional, dependable, flexible, and looking to build a long-term relationship with the family.
