About PowerCity PM PowerCity PM is a Niagara Falls-based property management company overseeing short-term vacation rentals, residential units, and commercial and shared office space, including our location at 225 Old Falls Street. We manage properties across multiple entities and are growing quickly. We are a small team where your work is visible and valued every day. The Role We are looking for an organized, trustworthy Office Manager / Bookkeeper to be the right hand to our owner. You will run the financial and administrative side of the business — bookkeeping, payroll, billing, and HR paperwork — and keep our operations running smoothly. You will also be a friendly, professional face for the tenants, guests, and vendors who visit or call our office. What You Will Do Bookkeeping and Finance Maintain the books for multiple related companies in
QuickBooks:
accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations Invoice tenants and clients, record rent and booking payouts, and follow up on past-due balances Prepare accurate, on-time monthly financial statements and simple reports that show how each property and entity is performing Manage cash flow, bill payments, company credit cards, and loan accounts Work with our outside CPA on month-end close, sales and occupancy tax filings, and year-end tax preparation Payroll and HR Process payroll and contractor payments; handle 1099s and payroll tax filings with our payroll provider Manage onboarding paperwork, employee files, and workers' compensation reporting Support hiring by posting jobs, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews Office and Administration Keep insurance policies, business licenses, and state and local filings organized and current Track leases, renewals, and key deadlines Greet visitors, answer phones and emails, and help with tenant or guest questions during busy periods Improve our office systems, files, and processes as the company grows What We Are Looking For 3+ years of bookkeeping experience (required) Strong QuickBooks skills (QuickBooks Online preferred) Solid understanding of debits, credits, and account reconciliations Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and Microsoft Word Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through Clear, professional written and verbal communication Discretion and integrity when handling confidential financial and employee information Nice to Have Property management or real estate accounting experience Experience keeping books for multiple entities or LLCs Familiarity with Guesty, QuickBooks or similar property management software Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
