Job Description

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Selling/Marketing:
Generates interest in the property by selling its benefits and touring the property. Markets through face-to-face interactions, the internet, social media, and phone conversations with prospects, and answering questions about the amenities, local community, and grounds. Qualifies prospective residents by determining their needs and presenting offerings that match their requirements. Schedules appointments for showings and follow-up. Understands the competition and differentiators. Identifies creative methods to generate prospects.
Administrative:
Prepares property reports, leases, and lease renewals, resident files, processes rent payments, inquires about late payments, non-payment, and 14-day letters, apartment inspections, assists in handling any eviction issues, and regularly required paperwork. Keeps organized through maintaining files and ensuring priorities are completed. Answers phones and makes contact via in-person, phone, and letters to minimize delinquencies and collections. Schedule move-in appointments for resident orientation. Completes work requests. Tracks appointments, move-ins and outs, services, and bills.
Resident Service and Relations:
Provides customer service and supports the company's commitment to go above and beyond residents' expectations in a professional, warm, helpful manner. Positively interacts with visitors, residents, service providers, and the general public through live contact, and written and verbal correspondence. Resolves problems quickly and thoroughly. Proactively ensures property is in order and solves problems before issues escalate.
Requirements Required Skills and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Computer skills required - working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, experience with Yardi Voyager and Rent Café
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Is dependable, self-motivated, and has the ability to positively resolve conflicting issues
  • Results-oriented
  • Friendly and customer service-oriented
Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires extensive computer and phone work
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending, in addition to periods of extensive sitting
  • Position requires walking and climbing stairs
Other Requirements:
Position requires weekly travel between apartment communities
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance
