Job Description

Insurance Claims Coordinator/Office Administrator Family-Owned Jewelry Store —
Uniondale, NY Overview:
Our client, a family-owned jewelry store, is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Claims Coordinator to manage claims processing and support daily office operations. This role is heavily focused on working directly with insurance companies, accurately entering and processing claims, and handling a high volume of computer and phone-based work. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable spending the full workday on the computer and phone.
Responsibilities:
Process and submit insurance claims accurately and efficiently Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance companies, following up on claim status and resolving issues Enter claim information and maintain detailed records in the computer system Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls Greet and assist customers professionally, both in person and by phone Prepare and type detailed reports and correspondence Maintain office supplies and vendor relationships Support a variety of special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant administrative or coordinator experience Experience working with insurance companies strongly preferred Comfortable performing computer-based work throughout the full workday Strong phone skills and professional phone presence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Able to type at least 40 WPM Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally Reliable team player Fine jewelry experience a plus, but not required
Schedule:
Full-time, in-office Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM-5:00
PM Compensation:
$60,000-$65,000 annually #IND456
Pay:
