Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, energetic, and motivated Front Office Administrator/Receptionist for a pediatric Dental office. They will be communicating with parents and children and must have great communication skills and a love for working with children. The ideal candidate will undertake administrative and front office tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. The tasks of the office administrator will include greeting patients, checking patients out, scheduling, answering phones, accounts receivable and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The ideal candidate will be willing to step in where and when they are needed. They will be willing to cross-train and help with bringing patients back and sterilization. The ideal candidate will also be willing to perform check-out and surgery coordinator duties as well. We are looking for a well-rounded, experience office administrator. The office administrator ensures smooth running of our company's offices and contributes in driving sustainable growth through teamwork. Responsibilities Front desk duties such as greeting patients and answering phones Managing all front desk duties Verifying insurance and benefits Checking claims and sending pre-authorizations Accounts Receivable Reviewing Treatment plans and taking payments Scheduling (In-office and Surgery) Updating patient charts and creating surgery charts Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.) Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned Assist colleagues whenever necessary (bringing patients back, sterilization etc...) Skills Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant, front desk receptionist or relevant role Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Excellent organizational and leadership skills Familiarity with basic accounting principles Knowledge of Word and Excel. Knowledge and experience with Open Dental Software would be a bonus Knowledge in pediatric dentistry would be preferred but not required Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage Being a team player!
